L.O: To divide 2 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers
Please watch this video that will help remind you of how to divide using a numberline!

This week, you will work through dividing using a numberline. You will need to count in jumps of what ever number you are dividing by. For example, if you were to divide 18 by 3 (18 ÷ 3) you would count in 3's up to 18 on a number line. This also links to your times table knowledge as
6x3=18 so 18 ÷ 3 = 6.
When the numbers are larger, you can begin to be more efficient by chunking jumps on a numberline. The picture below gives you an example of this. Use your knowledge of the 10x table to help you do this!
As you can see, I've only used 4 jumps along the numberline as I've used a chunk of 10x to speed up my counting.
If you are unsure, watch this video which will give you some extra information on how to chunk on a numberline.
