Explore as many of the folders as you can but inside LITERACY, NUMERACY, SCIENCE and TOPIC you will find folders with learning separated into weekly or topic folders.

If you would like to contact any of the Year 6 teaching team during this period of school closure to discuss any of the home learning activities, then please contact using the email addresses below:

Mr Paradine:

It would be great to add more work to the folder above.

Please take care and stay safe.

We look forward to seeing you all again as soon as is possible.

Grange Readers

Each week we will be adding a Grange Reader Flyer to the website, it will contain information about books, but also includes links to art activities, useful websites and other activities for you to do and have a look at. Each flyer will have a topic theme.

Enjoy and share any work that you complete or any websites that you have been using that might be useful for others.

Happy Half Term!

First of all Year 6 thank you so much for your video. It was so lovely to see so many of your faces. Your messages and poems have made us realise how much we've missed you all. It really was so thoughtful.

Secondly Year 6, we wish you the very best as we head into half term. We are really looking forward to seeing some of you on the 1st of June (with some 'guest' teachers coming up to Year 6 so that we are in smaller groups. )

For those of you who will be learning at home, we will update the learning folders so that you can continue to learn whilst at home.   For those coming into school, things will be different but we are looking forward to seeing you, getting our teeth into a good book and refreshing those maths skills in time for secondary.

Stay safe Year 6. See you very soon.

Home Learning due to school closure:

Due to the imposed school closure, we have put together some ideas for home learning for Year 6.  All children have been given a purple book to record all their learning in and this should be brought back to school on their return.

We will update these links as regularly as we can to keep the children interested and active.

Autumn Term Learning Journeys

Spring 1 2020 - We have been learning about phenominal natural events and we have used this to write some personification poetry about these.

During Science week Year 6 visited CEMAST to learn about careers related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. We were inspired by the positivity of the staff and the way we can interact in different careers through the use of technology. We are now inspired!
