NSPCC Number Day - 6th February 2026

 

Children & staff will be invited to 'dress up in anything number related' and to pay £1 which will go to the NSPCC

Year 3 Roman Day

Tuesday 10th February

On this day, you can come in dressed as a Roman and during the day we will be immersing ourselves in lots of Roman activities including:

  • Making and tasting flatbread.
  • Making Roman shields.
  • Learning about Roman numerals.
  • Creating mosaics.
  • Roman marching

VALENTINE DISCO

We have arranged a Valentine Disco and a Non -Uniform Day (Disco/Party Clothes) on

 

Wednesday 11th February 2026

 

These are always VERY popular with the children! 


The time for the discos are:

3.20pm – 4.15pm for Lower School (Year 3 & 4)

4.30pm – 5.30pm for Upper School (Year 5 & 6)


Tickets are £5.00 this includes entry, a Hot Dog or slice of Pizza and unlimited squash/water, so no pocket money is needed.  We have booked a DJ and there will be lots of fun, games and prizes!   Lower school children will go to the disco from their classroom at the end of the school day and Upper school children will enter at the main entrance.

No child will be able to leave until you, or a responsible person, arrives to collect them.

A letter will be sent home this week with more information.

 

Year 3 & 4 please can trainers be worn this day, as this is a PE day – PE clothing not required.

YEAR 5 SWIMMING

 

Swimming is part of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2. We have arranged swimming lessons for our Year 5 children commencing Monday 5th January until 13th February 2026 from 1.00pm at Holbrook

 

Monday - 5AH

Thursday - 5AJ

Friday - 5SG

 

Children are expected to swim each week, swimming kit must be in school (see below).  If your child is not well enough to swim, a letter will be necessary explaining the reason as swimming is part of our P.E. curriculum.

AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS CLUB JANUARY 2026

 

Active 360 will be running the after school sports club from Monday 5th January 2026 - 27th Match 2026

Y6 Trip – STEM Fair 2025 (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

 

We are very lucky to have secured places to take Year 6 to this very popular, annual STEM Fair at CEMAST, Lee on Solent on Friday 6th March 2026. The total cost is £10.50.  School uniform should be worn please.  We will shuttle the children in our 2 buses, but will require children to be here earlier than normal - See letter for more details

RUNNING CLUB

Our early morning Running Club will resume once again, for years 4, 5 & 6 it will take place on FRIDAY mornings before school at 8:15am – 8:40am, this is overseen by Miss Aroha and will start on Friday 23rd January 2026 up until half term.   The aim is to be able to promote mental health through running.

If it is raining running club will automatically be cancelled, without any notification given.
